The University of Texas at Dallas’ Center for Internal Auditing Excellence is recognized as one of the top internal auditing programs in the world. The professional organization, the International Institute of Internal Auditing (IIA), recognizes the top internal audit educational programs with its “Center” designation. UT Dallas has one of only eleven Centers in the world. As a Center, the IIA honors students who complete the internal auditing program with an Internal Auditing Education Partnership (IAEP) certification. This prestigious certificate is highly respected in the professional field of internal audit. The student organization is also recognized by ISACA as an “ISACA Student Group”.
In addition to offering the IAEP certificate, the Center’s Student Chapter also assists students with professional receptions, networking with high-level executives, workshops, conferences, and company site visits. Our Student Chapter partners with each of the following professional organizations:
Institute of Internal Auditors
ISACA
Association of Certified Fraud Examiners
All of our student members are active in at least one of these organizations. This gives them the opportunity to attend monthly meetings and seminars in order to become more informed about their potential career field, and to begin making connections with other students and professionals around the Dallas/Fort Worth area and beyond. Additionally, our student group provides networking events, company receptions, and career workshops, as well as social events and company site visits, in order to help our members learn the skills and knowledge they need for success in the fields on internal auditing, IT auditing, and fraud examination.
